CKP minimized health insurance expense for both the firm and employees, and increased employee benefits through private and federal programs administered in-house. Over the years, the firm has provided an excellent offering of benefits and programs enabling employees to capitalize on using pre-tax dollars to stretch their benefits package. Three years ago, the firm began offering a high deductible health plan (HDHP) along with its traditional PPO plan allowing employees to establish Health Savings Accounts. This program reduced an employee's portion of the premium significantly and provided each employee $1,200 per year in the form of an employer contribution to each participant's account. After three years the number of employees choosing the lower priced Health Savings Account has tripled.
