N. SCOTT SMITH was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Indiana University in 1999, with high distinction, and his law degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis, cum laude, in 2005. He was admitted to the bar in Indiana in 2005. He was the recipient of several scholarships during his legal studies including the John J. Dillon Scholarship. He was runner-up in the Moot Court Championship arguments. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Smith was selected by the Governor to serve as a Governor's Fellow with the Office of the Governor. He also worked with the Indiana State Police on legislation and with the Integrated Public Safety Commission on statewide public safety communications. Mr. Smith was a research assistant to then Indiana University, Indianapolis School of Law Assistant Dean Andrew Klein. Mr. Smith has been a licensed real estate agent since 2001. Mr. Smith focuses his practice on civil litigation, personal injury, and real estate. Mr. Smith also handles divorce and family law matters.
