JEFFREY S. NICKLOY was admitted to the bar in Indiana in 1973. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Mr. Nickloy graduated from Wabash College, cum laude, with an A.B. degree and received his law degree from Duke University. He is one of the four attorneys in the firm recognized by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory with its highest rating. Before joining the firm, Mr. Nickloy served for three years as a legal (JAG) officer in the United States Navy. Mr. Nickloy has been a frequent faculty member at professional meetings and seminars dealing with legal ethics, business and employment law and has written numerous published papers and articles on these topics. Mr. Nickloy has served as Chairman of the Indiana State Bar Association's organizations dealing with legal ethics (Chair 1999-2001), employment law (Chair, 2001-2003), and business law (2006-2008). In 2006, Mr. Nickloy was named Chair of the Special Committee on Lawyer Advertising created by the Indiana State Bar Association to re-write lawyer advertising rules and continues to chair that committee. He has twice been awarded Presidential Citations by the Indiana State Bar Association for his work on legal ethics. Mr. Nickloy's practice focuses on corporate law, business law and transactions, employment law, civil litigation and legal ethics. He regularly represents clients in both federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. His clients include businesses and individuals, including lawyers and firms.
